After the snow....
As I write this, I’m sitting outside on my front porch. There’s still a good foot of snow is some places from our weekend dumping but, across the way, the birds are singing as if their careers depended on it.
God, the sun feels good on my skin. Well, on my face. Then on my skin through the jeans and long sleeves. Way too early to get out the short sleeves at this altitude.
It must be seventy degrees. The sun is shining and, more important, the wind isn’t blowing.
The peaks off to my right are covered in white and will be until at least the end of May. Once can hope we won’t have any more snow but it would be just that - hope. Get a good Albuquerque low in here and lookout. It was two years ago, just about this time, that we had five feet in two days. But that’s another story for another time.
Today it’s beautiful, and I am going to sit out here as long as I can.
Slainte, jax
