Your first romance novel

Hi guys,

Anyone remember the first romance novel they ever read? Was it the one that led to your love of romance? If not, which book was.

I'd love to hear your stories. Take a moment and reply to this blog.

My first romance was Green Darkness by Anya Seton. Though not a typical romance, it started me on my way. I still love that book. Then I was off to read The Wolf and the Dove and The Flame and the Flower and Sweet Savage Love and Dark Fires. I still remember the hours filled by those books. I was a newlywed, never been away from home, married to an Army sergeant and stationed in Germany. I couldn't even call home.

Ginny and Steve and Wulfgar and Aislinn really did become my friends (like Diana said in the blog I pointed you to yesterday.) I read romance for years. Then I kinda got off on a non-fiction era for more years. Then a friend handed me Outlander. What can you say about Outlander?

Now I still read romance with some suspense thrown in for good measure.

And now, I write romance. Because, down deep, I think I need to believe in happily ever after.
